YouTube to remove the “Dislike” Button

Recently, Google (the people behind YouTube) has decided to “remove the dislike button”. Their reasoning behind removing the button is due to the controversial Gillete advert that was displayed across the site garnering loads of dislikes and the 2018 YouTube Rewind which became the most disliked YouTube video.

In the past, the dislike button has been criticised for being used for dislike bombing, people thinking that it’s funny to use the dislike button and people giving YouTubers some constructive criticism among other things.
